Ethical Use Policy
Praxity Studio supports learning that respects human dignity, privacy and autonomy, peace, ecological responsibility, fair work, shared prosperity, community health, and community self-determination.
This policy forms part of the Praxity Studio End User Licence Agreement. It applies to the purpose and content of training created, delivered, or materially facilitated with Studio. It does not prohibit a permitted training use solely because of unrelated activities by the user's organization.
Surveillance and privacy
Do not use Studio for training primarily intended to:
- enable mass or indiscriminate surveillance, covert tracking, non-consensual biometric identification, or social scoring;
- monitor workers, labour organizers, protesters, political or religious activity, or other protected association without a legitimate, proportionate, rights-respecting purpose;
- facilitate unlawful or deceptive collection, inference, sale, disclosure, or exploitation of personal or sensitive information;
- circumvent informed consent, privacy safeguards, data-subject requests, or other privacy rights; or
- teach deceptive interface practices intended to obtain or manufacture consent.
Legitimate privacy and cybersecurity education, proportionate security and fraud prevention, rights-respecting accessibility analytics, and uses supported by consent, necessity, safeguards, and due process are permitted.
Labour, economic exploitation, and community wealth
Do not use Studio for training primarily intended to:
- facilitate wage theft, forced labour, unlawful child labour, or worker misclassification intended to evade legal protections;
- suppress lawful worker organizing, collective bargaining, or protected labour activity, including retaliation;
- facilitate predatory lending or debt collection, fraud, deceptive manipulation, or discriminatory denial of employment, housing, healthcare, credit, or other essential services;
- dispossess Indigenous peoples or communities of land, resources, knowledge, or economic benefit without free, prior, and informed consent; or
- conceal or facilitate severe, foreseeable harm to a community's health, environment, essential resources, or economic security.
Legitimate business education, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, worker safety, labour-rights education, collective bargaining, cooperatives, community economic development, and just-transition work are permitted.
Climate and environment
Do not use Studio for training primarily intended to:
- disseminate materially false or deceptive climate information intended to obstruct mitigation, adaptation, public understanding, or community resilience; or
- facilitate unlawful environmental destruction or knowingly conceal severe, widespread, or long-term environmental harm.
Good-faith scientific discussion, media literacy, climate adaptation and remediation, environmental compliance, and just-transition education are permitted.
Military activity, violence, and coercion
Do not use Studio for training primarily intended to:
- support weapons development or operation, targeting, combat operations, coercive interrogation, torture, unlawful detention, or other unlawful military activity; or
- incite violence, persecution, or discrimination against people or protected groups.
Peacekeeping, humanitarian response, demining, conflict prevention, civilian protection, and human-rights or law-of-armed-conflict education are permitted.
Questions and reports
Praxity will assess credible reports in context and provide notice and an opportunity to cure as described in the End User Licence Agreement. Praxity does not inspect local course files or add surveillance to police this policy.
